Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Intellectual Property Attorney (Patent) in Bloomington, MN. Duties

• Represent clients in patent matters, including filings and infringement analysis.
• Collaborate with clients to protect their intellectual property effectively.
• Conduct and analyze prior art searches and competitor patents.
• Assist in preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications.
• Advise on trade secret protections and competitive advantages.

Requirements

• 0-4 years of experience in patent law.
• Licensed to practice law in Minnesota or eligible for licensure.
• Passed the patent bar or eligible to sit for it.
• Experience in engineering and technical understanding of relevant fields.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications

• Patent bar certification or eligibility.

Skills

• Strong technical writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage diverse legal matters in patent law.
