Insurance Coverage Attorney

Job Overview:
An established law firm specializing in insurance defense is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its team in one of its New England offices. This full-time role involves handling complex insurance coverage matters, including analysis and litigation related to coverage and bad faith claims. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in this area, excellent legal research and writing abilities, and a solid foundation in insurance law.

Location:

• Manchester, NH

Duties:

• Conduct detailed insurance coverage analysis

• Draft legal opinions on coverage issues and bad faith claims

• Represent clients in coverage litigation as necessary

• Prepare motions, memoranda, and other legal documents

• Advise insurance clients regarding policy interpretation and claims handling

• Collaborate with internal legal teams and insurance professionals

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage or bad faith litigation

• Proven ability to manage complex legal analysis independently

• Admission to practice law in at least one of the following states:

  • Massachusetts (MA)

  • Connecticut (CT)

  • New Hampshire (NH)

  • Rhode Island (RI)

  • Maine (ME)

  • New York (NY)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials required

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in at least one qualifying state (MA, CT, NH, RI, ME, or NY)

Skills:

• Exceptional legal writing and research skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Excellent verbal communication and client counseling abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team
