This position offers the opportunity to handle a variety of complex insurance defense matters. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal writing abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience in civil litigation. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a blend of in-office work.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense cases from initiation through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on insurance laws and regulations.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and other necessary papers.
• Represent clients at court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Collaborate effectively with senior attorneys on complex cases.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in New York; admission to New Jersey is a plus.
• Experience in civil litigation, with a preference for prior insurance defense experience.
• Strong legal writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Demonstrated commitment to staying current with developments in insurance law and industry trends.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York (required).
• New Jersey bar admission (preferred).
