Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trademark Partner in Hackensack, NJ, with over 10 years of experience in intellectual property law. The ideal candidate will have expertise in trademark prosecution, management of international trademark portfolios, and enforcement. A portable book of business and a client portfolio in intellectual property matters are preferred.

Duties

• Advise clients on trademark protection and perform clearance searches.
• Prosecute U.S. trademark applications and manage oppositions.
• Coordinate global trademark portfolio coverage with foreign associates.
• Draft license and transactional agreements.
• Send and respond to cease and desist letters.
• Collaborate with the M&A team on trademark diligence.
• Appear before U.S. federal courts and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
• Supervise an associate and a team of paralegals.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across practice areas.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)
