Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and a passion for client advocacy. This role requires excellent legal acumen, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.

Duties

  • Represent clients in family law matters.
  • Conduct client consultations and provide tailored legal advice.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including petitions and motions.
  • Advocate for clients in court hearings and mediations.
  • Manage a caseload from inception to resolution.
  • Develop case strategies and conduct legal research.
  • Draft and review legal documents and correspondence.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff.
  • Participate in team meetings and mentor junior attorneys.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in family law.
  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with case management software.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred but not required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
