Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Seattle, WA, is seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. This law firm specializes in a range of litigation matters, including insurance bad faith, personal injury, medical malpractice, and employment discrimination cases. As a part of this firm, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to handle high-stakes cases while benefiting from a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in complex litigation matters, including insurance bad faith, personal injury, medical malpractice, and employment discrimination cases.
  • Manage and contribute to case strategy development, pre-trial procedures, and discovery.
  • Prepare and argue motions in state and federal courts.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and other documents to support case preparation.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to build compelling cases and support trial efforts.
  • Assist in the preparation and trial of cases, developing courtroom skills and gaining exposure to all aspects of litigation.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in litigation.
  • Strong background in insurance recovery, bad faith litigation, personal injury, or employment discrimination preferred.
  • Proven experience with pre-trial motions, case strategy, and discovery processes.
  • Excellent oral and written advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and work independently while also being a team player.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Washington.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and courtroom skills.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of cases and deadlines.
