Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney in Richmond, VA, to join their team and contribute to delivering exceptional client service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, focusing on bankruptcy and foreclosure law.

Duties

  • Represent clients in bankruptcy and foreclosure proceedings, including hearings and mediations.
  • Review, prepare, and manage legal pleadings, motions, and related documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
  • Ensure all actions are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Active license and good standing with the Maryland and/or Virginia State Bar.
  • 0-5 years of bankruptcy and foreclosure experience preferred, but willing to train.
  • Must have a vehicle and be willing to attend in-person hearings.
  • Must reside in Maryland or Virginia.
  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality client service.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented, conscientious, and reliable with respect to deadlines and attendance.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Active license and good standing with the Maryland and/or Virginia State Bar.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and legal judgment skills.
  • Excellent communication and client service abilities.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
