Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Estate Planning and Elder Law in Watchung, NJ. The role involves providing clients with peace of mind regarding their estate and elder law needs, advocating for the elderly, and engaging in meaningful legal work within a supportive environment.

Duties

• Support the managing partner with drafting legal documents such as Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney.
• Manage estate and trust administration, including fiduciary accounts and tax returns.
• Advise on Medicaid applications and defend clients in fair hearings.
• Engage in litigation related to estate and elder law issues.
• Supervise paralegals and maintain client relationships.

Requirements

• J.D. Degree; additional licensure or education is beneficial.
• Two or more years of relevant experience, preferably in estate and elder law.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and case management systems.
