The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in patent litigation, a strong academic background, and excellent litigation and writing skills. This role offers significant responsibility, client interaction, and the opportunity to work on high-profile patent infringement cases across various industries.

Location:

  • San Francisco, CA

Duties:

  • Handle patent infringement litigation in district courts

  • Assist with Federal Circuit appeals and PTAB proceedings

  • Engage in tech transactions and patent-adjacent legal work, including antitrust and trade secret cases

  • Participate in case strategizing, briefing, depositions, and trial preparation

  • Provide legal counsel to clients in various technology sectors

  • Maintain billable hours of at least 2,000 per year, including pro bono work

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in patent litigation

  • Strong understanding of U.S. patent laws

  • Excellent writing and litigation skills

  • Ability to handle significant responsibility and client interaction early in the role

  • Willingness to travel as needed for client matters

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a top-tier law school

  • Strong academic credentials and high class ranking preferred

  • A technical degree or relevant work experience is preferred

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar preferred but not initially required

  • Patent Office registration is a plus but not mandatory
