Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Business Litigation Associate Attorney in Northern Virginia, VA. This fully remote role, with required court appearances, offers autonomy and a focus on high-level legal practice. The ideal candidate will handle litigation matters independently and prioritize client service.

Duties

• Handle business litigation cases with independence and strategic oversight.
• Provide responsive legal counsel reflecting client goals.
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts and pleadings.
• Conduct legal research and represent clients in court.
• Manage deadlines and identify potential issues proactively.
• Collaborate with the team in a trust-based environment.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Virginia; DC and/or Maryland a plus.
• 3-5 years of litigation experience, ideally at a mid-sized or large firm.
• Experience handling litigation matters independently.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with tech tools like Zoom, Office 365, Adobe, and Clio.
• Residence in the DMV area with willingness to travel for court appearances.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Virginia.
