Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney located in the NYC/Long Island area, licensed to practice law in New York. The ideal candidate will have civil litigation experience and be adept at managing high-volume caseloads.

Duties

  • Manage high-volume caseloads with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Utilize and learn job-related technologies such as Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
  • Negotiate impound lien disputes and property damage claims.
  • Engage in ADR or litigation when necessary.
  • Analyze and evaluate new assignments to resolve cases effectively.
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters, attorneys, and clients.
  • Negotiate and settle claims within discretionary authority.
  • Document all activities in the appropriate systems.
  • Adhere to the Rules of Professional Conduct.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in New York.
  • Civil litigation experience preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
