Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with two to five years of financial services litigation experience to join their Los Angeles, California office. The successful candidate will manage files, engage in motion practice, and participate in courtroom opportunities, depositions, alternative dispute resolution, and trial preparation.

Duties

  • Manage and organize case files effectively.
  • Draft and analyze pleadings, including motions and discovery documents.
  • Participate in depositions and courtroom appearances.
  • Engage in alternative dispute resolution and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with a team while maintaining autonomy in case management.

Requirements

  • Active California law license.
  • Experience in regional, national, or reputable local law firms preferred.
  • Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in e-discovery and fact development.
  • Familiarity with FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, UCC, EFTA, TILA, and UCL/UDAP.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
