Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in South Bend, Indiana, is currently seeking a highly motivated Litigation Associate with 0–5 years of experience. The successful candidate will join a dynamic litigation team and receive extensive training and mentorship with the goal of developing into a first-chair trial attorney. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or junior attorney passionate about civil litigation and courtroom advocacy.

Location:

  • South Bend, Indiana

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis across diverse civil matters

  • Draft internal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs

  • Assist with discovery, depositions, and trial preparation

  • Participate in court hearings and proceedings when appropriate

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys across practice areas

  • Handle matters related to:

    • General Civil Litigation

    • Business & Commercial Litigation

    • Trust & Estate Litigation

    • Additional assignments as needed

Requirements:

  • 0–5 years of experience in litigation or related legal work

  • Licensed to practice law in Indiana or in the process of obtaining licensure

  • Demonstrated interest in litigation and trial advocacy

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Indiana Bar license or intent to sit for the Indiana Bar

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills

  • Exceptional writing and communication abilities

  • High level of organization and attention to detail

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment
