The successful candidate will focus on drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents, as well as advising clients on estate strategies and managing probate proceedings. Duties

  • Prepare wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents

  • Counsel clients on estate planning strategies tailored to individual needs

  • Represent clients in probate and estate administration proceedings

  • Assist in managing trust administration and related fiduciary matters

  • Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, and tax professionals on estate structures

  • Draft legal memoranda, opinion letters, and other documentation

  • Maintain client relationships with a high level of discretion and professionalism

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in estate planning and probate law

  • Familiarity with New Jersey estate and probate procedures

  • Ability to manage multiple client matters efficiently

  • High level of client service and responsiveness

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar (required)

Skills

  • Strong legal drafting and communication skills

  • Knowledge of estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax principles (preferred)
