Job Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking a full-time Employment Litigation Associate to join its Jacksonville office. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact labor and employment cases with the support of a collaborative legal team. The ideal candidate will have 2–6 years of relevant experience and be comfortable handling all aspects of employment litigation, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, taking depositions, and arguing motions. Remote work flexibility is available for qualified candidates.

Duties

  • Draft and respond to initial pleadings, discovery, and pre-trial motions

  • Take and defend depositions of parties and witnesses

  • Represent clients at hearings and in court as needed

  • Manage multiple employment litigation matters simultaneously

  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis of labor and employment law issues

  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and firm leadership on case strategy

  • Maintain high professional and ethical standards when interacting with clients, courts, and colleagues

Requirements

  • 2–6 years of litigation experience, with a focus on employment law

  • Proven ability to handle depositions, motions, and discovery independently

  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated initiative and strong work ethic

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Florida (required)
