Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate for its Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a strong background in California state and federal court proceedings.

Duties

  • Draft and respond to complaints in commercial litigation cases.
  • Lead responsibility for drafting responses to discovery.
  • Prepare pre-trial motions, including demurrers and motions to dismiss.
  • Handle motions for summary judgment and discovery-related motions.
  • Conduct legal research and writing with precision.
  • Participate in depositions and trial preparation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Experience in California state and federal courts.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Experience with depositions and trial preparation preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in California.
