Associate Attorney (Criminal, Municipal & Family Law)

A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join its collaborative team in Boise, ID. This in-person role offers the opportunity to work across criminal prosecution, municipal law, and family law matters, partnering closely with seasoned attorneys and staff to deliver exceptional legal services to clients throughout the Treasure Valley. Duties

• Conduct in-depth legal research to inform case strategies and pinpoint relevant precedents

• Prepare and refine pleadings, motions, briefs, and client correspondence with accuracy and clarity

• Interact with clients to address questions, manage expectations, and maintain strong attorney–client rapport

• Assist senior attorneys in developing case plans, trial tactics, and courtroom presentations

• Organize and maintain case files, calendars, and discovery documents to ensure efficient workflow

• Monitor updates to statutes, regulations, and caselaw affecting criminal, municipal, and family law practice areas

Requirements

• Active membership in good standing with the Idaho State Bar

• Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment

• Proven track record of delivering attentive, client-centered service

• Excellent organizational aptitude, with a knack for prioritizing competing tasks

• Capacity to handle a dynamic caseload spanning multiple practice areas

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the Idaho State Bar

Skills

• Exceptional legal research skills, including proficiency with Westlaw or similar platforms

• Strong written advocacy, drafting, and proofreading capabilities

• Confident oral advocacy and public speaking proficiency

• Familiarity with case management systems and document organization

• Effective time management and attention to detail when handling discovery, filings, and client communications
