Insurance Defense Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join its Miami office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of litigation matters, including premises liability, motor vehicle, product liability, construction, and professional liability cases. The position offers robust professional development, mentorship, and the opportunity to work on both pre- and post-suit investigations, trial preparation, and court appearances.

Location:

Duties:

• Handle litigation matters, including pre- and post-suit investigations, case analysis, and drafting/responding to discovery

• Prepare and argue law and motion

• Take and defend depositions

• Participate in trial preparation and court appearances

• Develop and implement strategies to resolve claims efficiently

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case management and strategy

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of litigation experience in the areas of premises liability, motor vehicle, product liability, construction, and professional liability

• Strong experience in case analysis, discovery, law and motion preparation, and trial preparation

• Ability to take and defend depositions

• Proactive, self-starter with strong project management skills

• Excellent legal research, written, and verbal communication skills

• Must be in good standing with the Florida State Bar

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Florida State Bar license

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to implement effective litigation strategies

• Solid interpersonal skills for client and team interactions

• Proactive and self-motivated with strong organizational and project management skills
