Job Overview

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Junior Litigation Associate to join its Dallas, Texas office. This position is ideal for a motivated attorney with at least one year of civil litigation experience who is eager to build a career in employment law. The role offers hands-on experience, mentorship from leading employment law partners, and the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including some of the country’s largest employers. Prior employment law experience is a plus but not required.

Location

  • Dallas, TX

Duties

  • Represent clients in a variety of employment-related disputes, including:

    • Discrimination and harassment claims

    • Wage and hour matters

    • Restrictive covenant violations

    • Agency charges and administrative proceedings

  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery

  • Take and defend depositions

  • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials

  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic counsel on employment issues

  • Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and contribute to high-quality client service

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in civil litigation

  • Experience or interest in employment law preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

  • Strong academic credentials preferred

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with the Texas State Bar

Skills

  • Excellent legal research and writing abilities

  • Attention to detail and a high standard of professionalism
