A well-established law firm in Queens, NY, is looking to add a seasoned Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to its dynamic legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to further develop your litigation skills in a collaborative environment, with guidance from experienced legal professionals. You will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload, driving cases through to settlement or trial, and taking part in specialized training to sharpen your trial skills.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of 100-120 personal injury cases, ensuring timely progression from case inception to resolution.
• Handle the full spectrum of case litigation, including negotiating settlements, preparing legal documents, and conducting depositions.
• Attend mediations, hearings, and trials as necessary to advocate for clients.
• Collaborate with experts such as life care planners and accident reconstructionists to strengthen case positions.
• Lead negotiations and settlement discussions with opposing parties and adjusters.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and adjusters to keep all parties updated.
• Ensure cases are prepared thoroughly for trial and advocate effectively in front of a jury when needed.
• Meet monthly performance goals and litigation targets.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney with a proven track record in handling complex cases.
• Strong skills in time management, case strategy, and client relations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Must be licensed and in good standing with the New York State Bar.
• Proven success in negotiating settlements, managing mediation processes, and handling jury trials.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate with a team of legal experts.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active New York State Bar License in good standing.
