Job Overview

A respected law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney with over five years of experience in commercial real estate transactions. This role emphasizes representation of institutional and commercial lenders in complex real estate finance matters. The position requires strong skills in structuring, negotiating, and documenting real estate and finance deals, as well as conducting thorough due diligence. This opportunity is offered by a legal recruiting agency on behalf of the firm.

Location

Duties

  • Represent institutional and commercial lenders in sophisticated real estate finance transactions

  • Structure, negotiate, and document complex commercial real estate deals

  • Review and analyze title commitments, surveys, organizational documents, legal opinions, and commercial leases

  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence for real estate finance transactions

  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients throughout all phases of transaction

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate and finance law

  • Significant experience representing lenders in finance transactions

  • Strong working knowledge of title, survey, and lease review

  • Workout experience is considered a plus

  • Admission to practice law in New Jersey and New York (both preferred)

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active law license in New Jersey and/or New York

Skills

  • Expertise in real estate finance transaction structuring and documentation

  • Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management abilities

  • Capable of managing multiple complex transactions concurrently

  • Team-oriented with effective communication skills
