Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Cybersecurity Senior Associate/Of Counsel to join their Data Protection and Cybersecurity Team in Chicago, IL. This role involves managing privacy and data protection compliance matters, advising on data security incidents, and ensuring adherence to cybersecurity obligations. The position requires collaboration with regional and national clients.

Duties

• Advise on privacy and security obligations and incident notification requirements.
• Defend regulatory investigations related to data privacy and security.
• Manage privacy and cybersecurity breach response and data breach litigation.
• Collaborate with technically-skilled individuals and distill key issues for non-technical team members.
• Maintain priorities and anticipate potential issues in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in privacy and cybersecurity law.
• Exceptional project management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Admission to the state bar where the associate resides.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• State bar admission.
