Duties

  • Draft, file, and argue pre-trial motions.
  • Conduct legal research and factual investigations.
  • Appear in court for arraignments, hearings, and trials.
  • Prepare witnesses and expert testimony.
  • Meet with clients to explain charges and outline strategies.
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, investigators, and co-counsel.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of criminal litigation experience in federal and/or state courts.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a full caseload independently.
  • Spanish or other second language preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Virginia.
