Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Energy, Environmental, and Infrastructure Associate with three to seven years of experience to join its practice in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will manage complex energy and natural resources transactional work and engage in renewable energy projects.

Duties

  • Manage complex energy and natural resources transactional work, including M&A and project development.
  • Engage in renewable energy transactional work, such as joint ventures and commercial agreements.
  • Participate in engineering, procurement, and construction contracts for renewable energy facilities.
  • Assist with financing transactions in the energy and natural resources sector.
  • Contribute to oil and gas projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Three to seven years of experience in a sophisticated law firm environment.
  • Experience with renewable energy transactional work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and assume responsibility.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the state of Illinois or eligibility for admission.
