Position Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A reputable law firm based in Miami, FL is seeking a dedicated and experienced Immigration Litigation Associate Attorney. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a team of legal professionals committed to innovative legal advocacy and client-centered immigration services. The role is ideal for a licensed attorney with a solid foundation in removal defense and related immigration matters, looking to advance within a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Job Location

  • Miami, FL (Remote work possible for candidates near EOIR locations)

Duties

  • Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR)

  • Attend USCIS interviews and court hearings as needed

  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare complex filings, including motions and appeals

  • Draft a variety of legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, contracts, and settlement agreements

  • Provide strategic counsel to clients and develop case plans tailored to their legal needs

  • Maintain and update client files to ensure accessible and organized records

  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff on cases and legal strategies

  • Monitor legal and policy developments in immigration law to ensure current and effective representation

Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing with a U.S. state bar

  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in immigration law, particularly EOIR proceedings

  • Proficiency in legal writing, research, and oral advocacy

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a legal team

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active Bar license in any U.S. jurisdiction

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
