This position offers an opportunity for an attorney passionate about estate planning, guardianship, conservatorship, and probate law to manage a diverse caseload while supporting clients through pivotal life planning. Duties

  • Oversee and manage cases related to:
    • Estate Planning
    • Guardianship and Conservatorship
    • Trust Administration
    • Probate
    • MassHealth Applications
  • Keep detailed and organized client files, providing periodic updates to office staff as necessary
  • Communicate proactively with clients to keep them informed on case developments
  • Prepare, revise, and format legal documents including Wills, Trusts, Petitions, and related filings
  • Submit and manage filings with relevant court systems
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategy and client advisement
  • Represent the firm at community networking events to build professional connections
  • Participate in client outreach efforts, including monthly presentations and seminars
  • Support marketing initiatives by drafting blog content, creating presentation materials, and assisting in other outreach activities
  • Coordinate scheduling with court personnel and handle all necessary court-related communications

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within the fields of estate planning, trusts, and probate
  • Availability for full-time work onsite at the Worcester, MA office
  • High integrity and reliability in handling sensitive client matters
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage a varied caseload
  • Solid research and legal writing skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution
  • Membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar Association

Certifications

  • Active Massachusetts State Bar License

Skills

  • Detail-oriented approach to drafting and reviewing legal documentation
  • Proficient in legal research techniques and tools
  • Strong client-relations skills, with the ability to convey complex legal information in understandable terms
