Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking experienced insurance defense attorneys to join its growing team. The firm offers a flexible work environment, allowing attorneys to work remotely or in hybrid setups from any of their eleven offices across Florida. Attorneys will work on a diverse range of cases, including General Liability, Bodily Injury, Nursing Home/ALF, First Party Property, Construction Defect, and Trucking/Maintenance of Traffic. Location:

• Tallahassee, FL

Duties:

• Handle a range of insurance defense matters, including General Liability, Bodily Injury, Nursing Home/ALF, First Party Property, Construction Defect, and Trucking/Maintenance of Traffic.
• Explore early resolution strategies and alternative approaches to traditional litigation.
• Communicate regularly with clients to keep them informed on case progress.
• Participate in trial preparation, motions, and case management.
• Collaborate with other attorneys to develop strategies for success and early resolution opportunities.
• Utilize technology and case management systems to manage caseloads efficiently.
• Participate in firm-wide training, mentoring, and roundtables to enhance legal skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience handling insurance defense matters.
• Strong knowledge of insurance defense litigation areas such as General Liability, First Party Property, Bodily Injury, etc.
• Ability to explore early resolution strategies and innovative approaches to litigation.
• Highly self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to update clients on case progress promptly.
• Technologically proficient and comfortable with case management systems.
• Knowledge of AIM/Perfect Law is a plus.
• Must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership with the Florida Bar.

There are 40 attorneys who are part of the team working in the areas of worker?s compensation, product liability, insurance law and coverage, PIP, premises liability, federal practice, subrogation, wrongful death, collection and creditor?s rights, boating liability and maritime, E & O professional liability, appellate practice, toxic tort, negligent security, and insurance law and coverage.
