A law firm seeks a motivated real estate attorney to join a dynamic Chicago office, supporting a robust commercial property practice. The successful candidate will handle a spectrum of sophisticated real estate matters—from acquisitions to construction—within a collaborative, high-energy environment.

Duties

  • Lead and manage complex transactions, including purchases and sales of commercial property

  • Conduct title and survey reviews, coordinate financing structures, and negotiate lease agreements

  • Advise on land use entitlements, zoning compliance, and development projects

  • Oversee construction-related legal issues and documentation

  • Partner with senior counsel and multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless client service

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of commercial real estate transactional experience

  • Proven ability to shepherd deals from negotiation through closing with minimal oversight

  • Superior drafting and negotiation capabilities, particularly for contracts and closing documents

  • Comfortable working under tight timelines in a fast-paced setting

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active admission to the Illinois bar (or eligibility for prompt admission)
