The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in defense construction litigation, specifically with Labor Law Sections 240(1) and 241(6), and possess a strong background in handling contractual indemnification issues. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle complex defense construction litigation cases involving Labor Law Sections 240(1) and 241(6).
  • Manage contractual indemnification issues between parties.
  • Report to clients and carriers regularly on case progress and developments.
  • Appear in court for conferences and motions.
  • Ensure compliance with discovery obligations.
  • Take and defend depositions, including substantial Labor Law depositions.
  • Coordinate medical examinations related to cases.
  • Prepare and file legal motions and other court documents.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and develop case strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
  • Admission to the New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania Bars is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in defense construction litigation, focusing on Labor Law Sections 240(1) and 241(6).
  • Proven track record in handling contractual indemnification issues.
  • Strong experience in taking and defending depositions.
  • Ability to appear in court and handle various legal proceedings.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New York State Bar (required).
  • Admission to the New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania Bars (preferred).
