Job Title: Associate Attorney (Civil Litigation Defense)

Duties:

• Develop and execute case strategies and defenses
• Prepare written motions, discovery, and other legal documents
• Independently handle day-to-day aspects of case management
• Attend court hearings, including discovery conferences and oral arguments
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Review and analyze documents to inform case strategy
• Supervise and guide paralegals
• Provide detailed reports to clients and insurance companies, offering insights and case analysis
• Participate in trial preparation, including strategy sessions, client meetings, witness preparation, and direct/cross-examination planning

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Nevada
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation defense, with a preference for background in construction and personal injury law
• Excellent legal writing skills
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• A positive and proactive attitude, with a desire for professional growth
• Ability to independently manage cases and responsibilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Nevada

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities
• Effective client communication and relationship management
• Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously
• Ability to manage and mentor junior staff, including paralegals
