Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm seeks a motivated and experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a background in litigation, with a focus on insurance defense, construction defect, or casualty matters. Duties:

• Manage and handle all phases of litigation for a variety of complex cases, from pre-trial to trial.
• Draft legal documents including briefs, motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Represent clients in court and handle depositions, including expert witness depositions.
• Collaborate with senior partners to strategize and manage caseload.
• Conduct legal research and provide sound legal analysis and advice to clients.
• Communicate directly with clients to manage expectations and provide updates.
• Work closely with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure efficient case management.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of litigation experience.
• Strong background in handling complex cases, ideally in insurance defense, construction defect, and casualty law.
• Excellent legal writing and analysis skills.
• Ability to take and defend depositions, including expert witness depositions.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Must reside in or be within driving distance of Las Vegas, NV, with the ability to attend court and meetings as required.
• Flexibility to work remotely with occasional office visits as needed.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Nevada (a California license is a plus).
