Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Banking/Transactional Associate Attorney for its Covington, KY office. This role involves performing associate-level legal work within the Banking/Transactional practice group and occasionally supporting Corporate and Real Estate practice areas. The successful candidate will collaborate with supervising attorneys to represent clients in various matters.

Duties

  • Negotiate, draft, review, and revise contracts and agreements.
  • Provide legal advice on banking, real estate, and corporate matters.
  • Complete due diligence for banking, corporate, and real estate transactions.
  • Assess risk and advise on mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Conduct research on legal issues in relevant practice areas.
  • Offer legal counsel on fiscal responsibilities and transactions.
  • Advise on general compliance matters.
  • Resolve issues arising from projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate degree or anticipated by May 2026.
  • Interest in Transactional, Corporate, or Real Estate law.
  • Demonstrated drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission or eligibility to sit for the bar exam.
