Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate Attorney to join its team in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of real estate closings, from title search and review to closing ceremonies, funding, and disbursements.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and comment on real estate closing documents, including purchase and sale agreements, closing statements, and loan documents.
  • Review and analyze title to real property, providing opinions to title agencies for title insurance or issuing commitments and policies for clients.
  • Communicate with clients, brokers, and lenders.
  • Conduct closing ceremonies.
  • Assist in staff development and oversight.

Requirements

  • North Carolina License to Practice Law.
  • Minimum of 2 years of closing experience in South Carolina real estate law.
  • Located in Charlotte, NC.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex legal and business documents.
  • High level of reasoning ability and even temperament.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • North Carolina Bar Admission.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
