Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Real Estate Associate to join its expanding practice in Charlotte, NC. This role offers the opportunity to work with high-profile clients on complex transactions across the United States.

Duties

  • Advise institutional investors, developers, and private equity clients on commercial real estate matters.
  • Structure and execute acquisitions, dispositions, and financings across diverse asset classes.
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, and commercial leases.
  • Conduct and manage due diligence, including title, survey, and zoning reviews.
  • Advise on development projects from entitlement through completion.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across various practice areas.
  • Support clients with operational real estate matters, including lease amendments and tenant issues.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
  • 4-6 years of commercial real estate experience at a nationally recognized law firm.
  • Admission to the bar in the state of location preference or ability to become admitted promptly.
  • Demonstrated experience in real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.

  • Admission to the bar in the state of location preference.

Its areas of concentration include corporate real estate, business transactions, and real estate capital markets. Fifteen qualified attorneys are on staff.
