A law firm located in Purchase, NY, is seeking a qualified and experienced Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditors' Rights Associate Attorney to provide essential support to their growing practice. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 4 years of relevant experience and will collaborate with attorneys within the firm's various litigation practice groups. Exceptional academic qualifications, strong analytical and writing skills, and the potential addition of a judicial clerkship background are highly desirable. Bar membership in Delaware, New Jersey, or New York is mandatory for this role.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal support and counsel in the areas of bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors' rights.
  • Collaborate with and support attorneys in the firm's various litigation practice groups, including commercial litigation, fiduciary litigation, white collar litigation, and insurance litigation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and solutions.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Engage in client interaction, attend meetings, and provide timely and effective communication.
  • Assist in the preparation of cases for trial and participate in court proceedings when necessary.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure legal compliance and provide informed advice.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors' rights.
  • Exceptional academic records.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Prior judicial clerkship experience is advantageous.
  • Mandatory Bar membership in one or more of Delaware, New Jersey, or New York.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing Bar membership in Delaware, New Jersey, or New York.
