Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join their Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution Practice Group in Washington. The candidate should demonstrate high academic achievement, relevant industry experience, and excellent writing and communication skills.

Duties

  • Prepare and prosecute patents in electrical engineering and software-related technologies.
  • Engage in patent prosecution involving machine learning, artificial intelligence, and neural networks.
  • Handle cases related to radio frequency circuitry and hardware or communications security.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
  • Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.
  • Admission to the USPTO.

Education

  • Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, or physics.

Certifications

  • J.D. degree.

Skills

  • Strong writing and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in patent prosecution for electrical and software technologies.
