Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a motivated and dedicated Associate Attorney to join its Immigration Law team. The successful candidate will represent clients before the Immigration Court, attend U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) appointments, and handle motion work. This position offers a hybrid work setting, with training available for newer attorneys and opportunities for experienced attorneys as well. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with a diverse clientele.

Location:

  • Houston, TX

Duties:

  • Represent clients before the Immigration Court.
  • Attend USCIS appointments on behalf of clients.
  • Handle motion work and legal documentation related to immigration cases.
  • Provide guidance and legal advice to clients regarding immigration matters.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to manage caseloads and meet deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in the United States (Bar certification required).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload effectively.
  • Client-focused with a commitment to providing excellent legal services.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar license (required).

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing skills.
  • Ability to represent clients in court and administrative hearings.
  • Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
  • Client communication and relationship management skills.
