Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join their team in Lancaster, PA. The role involves handling various aspects of workers' compensation litigation and requires a strong commitment to client service and legal excellence.

Duties

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.
  • Maintain billable hours as necessary.
  • Manage client relationships and a caseload with supervision.
  • Assist in the representation of clients in motion practice, conferences, mediations, and trials when necessary.

Requirements

  • JD degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active license in good standing in Pennsylvania.
  • At least 7 years of direct PA workers' compensation experience; 10+ years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.
  • Self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work as a team member in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Education

  • JD degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

  • Active license in good standing in Pennsylvania.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
