Job Overview:
A well-established law firm, located in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a qualified Litigation Attorney with at least 2 years of experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to represent local governments and public agencies in various public law matters. The firm handles a diverse array of cases involving municipal code enforcement, land use, civil rights, and real estate. Candidates will gain hands-on experience in both trial and appellate-level litigation while advising government entities on legal matters.

Duties:

• Manage cases from initiation through resolution, including strategy development, discovery, and trial preparation.

• Conduct law and motion practice, including oral arguments in state and federal courts.

• Negotiate settlements and collaborate on litigation strategies.

• Provide legal counsel to city staff and government officials regarding municipal law matters.

• Represent cities in public meetings and community outreach efforts, educating on compliance and legal practices.

• Stay up-to-date on state and local laws to provide accurate and timely legal guidance.

Requirements:

• Must be a member of the California Bar.

• At least 2 years of municipal law or litigation experience.

• Strong research and writing skills.

• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with government officials and community members.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar is required.
