Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A respected national law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience to join its Southern California litigation team. The role involves defending automotive manufacturers, distributors, and dealers in warranty-related litigation. This is an opportunity to work in a focused litigation group, gaining hands-on experience in trial and arbitration preparation, with cases involving consumer warranty claims.

Location:

• San Francisco, California

Duties:

• Represent automotive clients in consumer warranty litigation matters

• Handle all aspects of litigation, including:

  • Motion practice

  • Depositions

  • Mediations and settlement negotiations

  • Trial and arbitration preparation

• Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, and client correspondence

• Attend court proceedings, hearings, and arbitration sessions

• Collaborate with litigation team and maintain ongoing client communication

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience

• Previous experience with trial/arbitration preparation and courtroom advocacy

• Demonstrated ability to manage discovery, case deadlines, and client needs

• Local to one of the listed California offices (Los Angeles, San Diego, or San Francisco)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic performance preferred

Certifications:

• Active Bar license in the state of California (in good standing)

Skills:

• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills

• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities

• Effective communicator with clients and colleagues

• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced litigation team
