Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Private Clients, Trusts & Estates Associate to join its New York, NY office. The ideal candidate will have experience in estate planning, including drafting and administering sophisticated planning strategies and handling estate and trust administration.

Duties

• Advise high net worth individuals, families, and family offices.
• Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and ancillary documents.
• Research and project tax implications of planning techniques.
• Prepare client educational and summary materials.
• Meet and communicate directly with clients to advance their goals.
• Support partners across the firm's platform.

Requirements

• 2nd to 5th year associate class experience.
• Experience in estate planning and trust administration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a sophisticated environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills

• Strong drafting and communication skills.
• Proficiency in tax research and planning.
• Client-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
