Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment and Labor Associate to join its team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will possess 2-6 years of experience in employment practice, with a strong foundation in employment law and litigation. This role involves working closely with partners and clients, providing legal counsel, and managing litigation matters.

Duties

  • Provide day-to-day employment and human resources counseling for clients.
  • Review, analyze, and draft employment agreements and policies.
  • Handle employment litigation, including single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits.
  • Conduct depositions, manage discovery, and argue motions.
  • Advise on traditional labor and NLRB matters.
  • Manage employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Formulate legal strategies for litigation matters.
  • Conduct internal investigations.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of employment litigation and counseling experience.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the practicing state.
  • Trial experience is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the practicing state.
