Job Title: Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:

A reputable law firm in Houston is seeking a dedicated and bilingual Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in immigration law and demonstrate the ability to manage a diverse caseload independently. Fluency in both Spanish and English is essential, along with a collaborative mindset and commitment to client service.

Duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of immigration matters from inception to resolution

  • Conduct initial consultations and provide strategic legal guidance to clients

  • Prepare and file petitions and applications before USCIS and EOIR

  • Represent clients in immigration court proceedings

  • Draft legal memoranda, motions, briefs, affidavits, and appeals

  • Guide clients through interview preparation and court appearances

  • Participate in periodic weekend availability, as needed

  • Collaborate with legal support staff and provide case updates

  • Fulfill additional legal responsibilities as assigned by the firm

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of focused immigration law practice

  • Licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar

  • Fully bilingual in Spanish and English

  • Strong advocacy, analytical, and organizational skills

  • Willingness to work occasional Saturdays

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active State Bar membership (in good standing)

Skills:

  • Client consultation and interview preparation

  • Courtroom representation and oral advocacy

  • Legal drafting (affidavits, motions, appeals)

  • Immigration petition and application filing

  • Time and caseload management
