Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate to join the Investment Services team in San Francisco, CA. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team on a diverse range of investment services, engaging with shareholders and participating in client-facing activities.

Duties

  • Collaborate with shareholders on investment services projects.
  • Engage in business development and client-facing activities.
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Play a key role in transactions, particularly investment company reorganizations or mergers.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience with registered investment companies and advisers.
  • Experience with federal securities laws, including the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Act of 1933.
  • Experience with mutual funds, ETFs, closed-end funds, and independent trustees and directors.
  • Admitted in, or taking steps to become admitted in, the applicable jurisdiction.

Education

  • J.D. degree with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills.
