Job Overview

A law firm seeks a detail-oriented and motivated associate attorney with at least 2 years of experience in personal injury plaintiff work for a full-time, in-office position in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate is highly organized, an excellent communicator, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Duties

  • Manage pre-litigation personal injury cases from intake through settlement.
  • Communicate with clients, providers, insurance adjusters, and lien holders.
  • Request and review medical records and bills.
  • Draft demand letters and prepare settlement documentation.
  • Maintain accurate case files and deadlines using case management software.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and other team members, especially paralegals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in personal injury plaintiff pre-litigation work.
  • Strong understanding of the personal injury claims process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C.
