Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Benefits Associate Attorney to join their Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation group in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience in benefits, including qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and executive and deferred compensation arrangements. Experience in M&A, ERISA litigation, and withdrawal liability is advantageous.

Duties

  • Advise clients on qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans.
  • Support executive and deferred compensation arrangements.
  • Assist in benefits and compensation aspects of M&A transactions.
  • Contribute to ERISA litigation and withdrawal liability matters.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • At least three years of benefits experience in private practice.
  • Strong writing, oral advocacy, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent legal analysis capabilities.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Valid authorization to work in the U.S.
