Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled associate with at least 5 years of experience to join its Labor & Employment practice in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves advising companies and senior executives on complex employment disputes and workforce issues, with a focus on executive mobility, restrictive covenant litigation, and employment matters related to corporate transactions.

Duties

  • Litigate restrictive covenant and trade secret disputes, including injunctive relief matters.
  • Advise on executive mobility issues, including onboarding and departures.
  • Counsel clients on employment compliance and risk management.
  • Support employment aspects of M&A transactions, including diligence and integration.
  • Assist with internal investigations involving whistleblower or reputational concerns.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in labor and employment litigation or related commercial litigation.
  • Experience with restrictive covenant disputes and trade secrets preferred.
  • Strong drafting and writing skills, including briefs and motions.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving instincts and sound judgment.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues quickly.
