A law firm seeks an Associate Immigration Attorney in Orange, CA. This role offers a promising opportunity for a dedicated attorney to gain valuable experience and advance their career within an established firm in the Orange County area. The successful candidate will manage their caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties

  • Develop strategy and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
  • Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings.
  • Manage workload of cases and conduct intake with detained individuals.
  • Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review immigration applications and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes.
  • Meet with potential clients for strategic consultations and determine necessary strategies.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of immigration law experience.
  • Team player open to collaboration and strategizing with associates.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage a caseload.
  • Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian, EOIR, detained, citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Experience with case management software is preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law.

Skills

  • Excellent legal analysis and strategic planning abilities.
  • Strong communication and client interaction skills.
  • Proficiency in preparing legal documents and briefs.
