A law firm seeks an Immigration Attorney in Edison, NJ. The role involves representing clients in U.S. immigration matters, including court appearances and strategic filings. The attorney will work closely with a dedicated support team to manage cases effectively and ensure client confidentiality.

Duties

• Represent clients in EOIR court for Master and Merits Hearings
• Conduct consultations and prepare clients for interviews
• Draft motions, judgments, and legal filings
• Lead and mentor a legal team, including an assistant and paralegal
• Oversee case preparation and ensure timely, accurate filings

Requirements

• JD and license to practice law in at least one U.S. state
• 3+ years of immigration law experience, including family and employment-based immigration
• Experience in removal defense and immigration court litigation

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state

• Strong legal writing, courtroom, and client communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management
• Leadership mindset with the ability to support and direct legal staff
