Job Overview: A law firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a skilled Mergers and Acquisitions Attorney with at least 9 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate must possess significant general corporate expertise and be capable of independently managing M&A deals. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in private companies and/or private equity matters. Duties:

• Led and managed mergers and acquisitions transactions with minimal supervision.
• Provide legal counsel on general corporate matters related to M&A activities.
• Conducted due diligence investigations and drafted necessary documentation for M&A transactions.
• Advise clients on regulatory compliance issues and potential risks associated with M&A deals.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends in mergers and acquisitions.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Maryland State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
• Minimum of 9 years of experience practicing law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions.
• Demonstrated ability to handle M&A transactions from start to finish independently.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and regulatory frameworks.
